Seriously- after 1....fxg6 2.Qxg6+, is won in 39 moves according to the Nalimov Tablebase. I studied the line yesterday trying to understand the overall strategy, and was completely lost after the first 5 moves.

I considered making this a puzzle yesterday, but the truth is that it isn't a really good one since there are no particularly clear answers here for human beings. Of course, Ding erred by not taking the pawn on g6, and played c2 instead. I think, probably, Ding thought that the tempo gained with c2 was worth the risk that Vachier-Lagrave would queen his g-pawn for a draw, but neither line is really calculable to a human being. After 1....fxg6 2.Qxg6+, I couldn't tell you that it was a won position for black if I spent the next studying it.
