I would play e5 here without much thought:

  1. ..........e5

  2. Rd5? Rc3! will win a rook after 3.Rd3 f4+. The alternatives aren't a lot better:

  3. ...........e5

  4. g3 f4+

  5. Ke4 f5+ again drops the rook. Best is probably the retreat to d2 with the rook.
