Wow, ok Yancey...makes sense...I have seen deteriation in another program...makes sense.
Yancey, please send me an email at SusanPolgar@aol.com with the email you used to register for an account here, as well as your login (is it Yancey_Ward?). I will ask the IT people to make you an admin.
Surpriselover, must be a flaw in the Analyze This program because the FEN's are properly formatted now and complete- I either copy them directly from problem I am referencing, or I write write the position using a standard template. I do know from experience that as programs start to age over a course of operating system updates, some basic functionality is lost- something like Load FEN subroutine might no longer work properly even if the engine itself is still operational.
Oh, I didn't even see Ms. Polgar's comment above earlier. I would like that very much, Ms. Polgar.
Yancey, most of the puzzles you post for some reason Analyze This can not read them...only once a few...I hope you took that offer from Susan and can start posting them on boards like she does...much faster to digest for the working chess player!
Here is the previous posting of this puzzle on Susan's site. http://web.chessdailynews.com/difficult-brain-challenge-2/
Well done, Alena.
Yancey, Here is the solution for your puzzle.
