Opening Ceremony at the Black Sea Arena – An Unforgettable Show! Tickets & Transportation.
On September 23, the 43rd World Chess Olympiad’s grandiose Opening Ceremony will take place at the splendid Black Sea Arena in Shekvetili, some 45 km north of Batumi.
The organizers are promising an unforgettable evening. More than 1000 people are working on the large-scale show.
The Opening Ceremony unites the representatives of classical and modern cultures.
Specially for the Opening Ceremony of the Chess Olympiad - Maestro Nikoloz Rachveli and DJ Kordzi have created music, Nina Ananiashvili choreographed a ballet performance and the Sukhishvili ensemble will present the new dance, choreographed by Iliko Sukhishvili.
On stage you will see famous Georgian singer Nino Katamadze, Georgian baritone Lado Ataneli, singers Liza Bagrationi, Giorgi Ushikishvili, violist Giorgi Tsagareli, the indie rock band Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz, the folklore ensemble Lashari, the Batumi cappella, the Evgeni Mikeladze State Symphony Orchestra directed by Nikoloz Rachveli and the Sukhishvili Georgian National Ballet.
Distinguished Georgian writer Aka Morchiladze is the author of the text for the Opening Ceremony booklet.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS:
Everyone who has registered to the 43rd Chess Olympiad and will be present in Batumi on the day of the Chess Olympiad will receive tickets to the Chess Opening Ceremony. The tickets have to be presented at the entrance. Whoever doesn’t have the ticket with them, will not be allowed inside to attend the ceremony.
Transportation from Batumi to Shekvetili and return trip will be provided by the Chess Organizing Committee.
