Experience traditional Hungarian food made fresh by Embassy Executive Chef Balázs Mészáros! Taste the authentic, true beef Hungarian Goulash (gulyás), the vegan Grenadiermarsch with gherkins (krumplistészta csemegeuborkával), pork Debrecziner sausages served in a bun (Hun Dogs), Hungarian pork cabbage (székelykáposzta), and the beloved Hungarian-Transylvanian chimney cake (kürtőskalács) from Kurly Kürtősh! Experience the Spice of Europe!

Join us in our courtyard and cool down with a soft drink, or try our icy, refreshing summertime spritzer drink (fröccs: dry white wine + sparkling water) or sign up for a VIP wine tasting (21 and over!) with Ambassador Szabó himself presenting some of the best Hungarian wines!

Test your chess skills with Women’s World Champion and Chess Grandmaster Zsuzsa Polgar during a simultaneous chess game with 10 lucky visitors, and with her son, Tom Shutzman in rapid chess games. Practice with DC United Midfielder and Hungarian National Soccer Team Member Zoltán Stieber on a TEQBALL table in the Rock Creek Park. Learn from Australia’s Rubik’s Cubist National Champion Jasmine Lee, then enter the competition and win a Rubik’s Cube. Learn more about Budapest’s tech-startup scene and the next generation of entrepreneurs at our Innovation Stand with SBrick. Our Hungarian Tourism Agency Team will be happy to help you with information on how to best plan your next trip, flight or cruise to Hungary.

Children and parents are both welcome to join a balloon party, face painting and the Rubik’s Cube contest. American dog owners take pride in showcasing some of our best 4-legged friends who originally come from Hungary. This year we will feature Vizslas and Pulis.
