The 11th China-Russia chess match is taking place in Qinhuangdao, China from 26 May to 1 June. Teams of five Russian men and five Russian women will play each of their Chinese counterparts once in classical chess and twice in blitz.

The chess time control for the classical games is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.

In the blitz chess portion, each player has 3 minutes for all moves, with a 2-second increment.

Any idea why China didn't send most of their top players? OK, so Ding is playing in Norway, and Wang Hou is playing in another tournament, but other than those two.
