AKIPRESS.COM - The Chess Federation of Kyrgyzstan signed a cooperation memorandum with the Ministry of Education on February 14.

They agreed on cooperation on the implementation of “chess in the education system” project.

The Ministry of Education will assist in opening of chess classes at secondary schools as part of cooperation memorandum.

“This is a historical and fundamental document by which we will plan our further actions. In the future, we want to introduce chess class as a compulsory subject at schools. Of course, there will be a lot issues, however, we want to learn from Armenia’s experience that has already introduced a chess subject,” said President of Chess Federation of Kyrgyzstan Milan Turpanov.
