The Stockholm Chess Challenge is set to take place from 30th April to 5th May at the Stockholm's Chess Salons in Sodermalm in the centre of Stockholm, Sweden.
The event is organized by the Stockholm Chess Society and Stockholm Chess Federation and sponsored by Data Response.
The tournament is open for players born on 1993 or later and with a minimum rating of 2200 ELO. The tournament organization may grant exception, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The organizers guarantee a tough starting field with a chance to take GM or IM-norm.
The playing format is 9-round Swiss with thinking time 40 moves in 90 minutes, and additional 15 minutes for the rest of the game from move 41. Inc 30 sec from move 1. No draw offers allowed before move 31.
The starting fee is 700 SEK (only 500 SEK for registrations before April 15) and it's free for GM and WGM.
Prizes: 10 000 SEK – 6 000 SEK – 4 000 SEK – 3 000 SEK – 3 000 SEK – 2 000 SEK – 2 000 SEK.
Last year winner was GM Adam Tukhaev.
