Chinese Blitz Chess Champion GM Yu Yangyi will take on 8-time Russian Chess Champion GM Peter Svidler in a rapid and blitz chess match in Shenzhen, China from 12-14 June, 2018.
8 rapid chess games, which are worth two points for a win and 1 for a draw, are followed by 10 blitz games with normal scoring.
The chess time control for the rapid chess is 10 minutes for all moves, with a 10-second increment from move 1. The blitz is 3 minutes for all chess moves, with a 2-second increment.
If the chess scores are still tied a 6 vs. 5 Armageddon game will be played.
