So So Proud!

So so proud!

On July 18, 2004, just like what Lou did with Fabiano Caruana on May 30, 1998, Derrick Bryant brought his twin boys, Jehron and Nigel, to the Polgar Chess Center in Forest Hills, NY for their first tournament.

They kept coming back, improving, month after month, until when I move to Texas. After that, I saw the boys once in a while when I came back to New York.

Yesterday I received a text from Derrick. The boys are doing incredibly well. Jehron is in grad school to become a neurologist and Nigel is in law school.

I am so proud of them.

Jehron and Nigel with Justus Williams, Josh Colas, and James Black, who are all attending Webster University.
