The 2017 Susan Polgar Foundation World Open for Boys and Girls began today. Some of the young stars include IM Nicolas Checa 2572, FM Hans Niemann 2400, NM Liran Zhou 2213 (youngest US master at 9 years, 3 months, 22 days)

Players will be competing for lots of trophies and over $100,000 in scholarships
